NFF React To Iwobi Rainbow Flick : Arsenal Talent Is A Carbon Copy Of Okocha
Published: November 15, 2016
The Nigeria Football Federation have jumped on the bandwagon of those impressed by the talent of Arsenal attacking midfielder Alex Iwobi after showing off his rainbow flick skill during the Super Eagles 3-1 win over Algeria in a World Cup qualifier this past weekend.
Former Eintracht Frankfurt star Austin Okocha was one of the top exponents of the rainbow flick before hanging up his boots, and the NFF have opined that Iwobi is a carbon copy of his uncle.
“Sure @alexiwobi’s got @IAmOkocha’s blood flowing in his veins #TurnUpTuesday #SuperEagles, ” said the Nigerian Federation via Twitter.
Hale End Academy product Alex Iwobi had played for England youth teams before he pledged his international future to Nigeria in 2015.
The 20-year-old was in action for 75 minutes in Uyo before he was replaced by Leicester City ace Ahmed Musa.
