Amadi-Holloway, Delfouneso On Target For Fleetwood, Swindon Town In FA Cup
Published: November 16, 2016
Fleetwood Town have advanced to the second round of the Emirates FA Cup following their 4-1 win after extra time over non-league side Southport at Highbury Stadium on Tuesday night.
Former Wales U19 international Aaron Amadi-Holloway gave Fleetwood the lead after 34 minutes when he fired past Norman from ten yards.
The Cardiff-born striker subbed out with 13 minutes remaining in regulation time, while ex-Barcelona youth-team skipper Godswill Ekpolo was not named in the 18-man squad, having started the first round tie on November 7.
Elsewhere, Swindon Town have exited the competition after losing 3-1 to Eastleigh at County Ground.
Nathan Delfouneso bundled the ball in the back of the net in the 79th minute but it was too little, too late to mount a comeback.
While the former Aston Villa trainee came off the bench in the 57th minute, Eastleigh defender Ayo Obileye was a non-playing substitute.
