Algerian Federation To Punish Two Players For Goals Scored By Chelsea Duo Mikel, Moses
Published: November 16, 2016
Esperance defender Hichem Belkaroui could miss the 2017 African Cup of Nations after his blunder allowed Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses to open the scoring in Saturday’s World Cup qualifier in Uyo.
Le Buteur has reported that the Algerian Football Federation and the coaching staff are reviewing his case, and he has been named one of the scapegoats for the loss to Nigeria.
It is being speculated that Belkaroui will only be among the substitutes in the event that he is called up to the Desert Foxes squad in future.
Real Betis right wing-back Aïssa Mandi is also in danger of missing the African Cup of Nations after making two errors that led to the goals scored by Obi Mikel (42nd min) and Moses (90th min).
However, his case is not as bad as Belkaroui because there is shortage of players in the right back position.
