Sunderland Boss Hails Anichebe After First Premier League Brace In Ten Years
Published: November 19, 2016
Sunderland manager David Moyes had nothing but praise for Victor Anichebe following his brace in his team’s 3-0 rout of Hull City in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
And the Scot thinks that the performance of the Nigeria international was even more impressive than the show he put up before the international break against Bournemouth.
“I thought Victor was immense today. He wants to be loved and I think the supporters do love him. He is a real powerful boy, ” said Moyes in his post match comments.
“I thought Victor was more impressive today then he was at Bournemouth.”
Anichebe last scored two goals in a Premier League match on December 30, 2006 against Newcastle United.
