Chelsea React To Victor Moses Barcelona Rumours
Published: November 27, 2016
Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte, has played down speculations Super Eagles striker Victor Moses could join Barcelona next summer.
The Catalans are reportedly interested in Moses and have scouted the Nigerian international a few times this season.
But the Italian tactician insists that his charges need to be focused rather than to think about the future.
“About Victor, I repeat, it’s important to be focused on the present, ” Conte told reporters.
“Now, we are doing very well but I don’t want to think that my players see into the future.
“We have just started in this league. And after a period, after two bad defeats, we won six games in a row.
“It is important now to continue this, to be focused, to work for the present. And not to look at the future.”
Moses has developed into a vital player following Conte’s switch to 3-4-3 formation.
That very pattern of play has seen the Blues move to the top of the Premier League standings.
