Liverpool Coach Klopp Explains Why Sheyi Ojo Is Training With U23s

England youth-teamer Sheyi Ojo will train with Liverpool U23 team in the coming weeks to keep up his fitness after recovering from a back injury he suffered during pre-season training with the first team.
The Reds manager Jürgen Klopp has hinted that the exciting winger will play for the U23s to enable him get some game time under his belt before returning to the senior squad.
“Ojo is a very young boy and now needs a lot of training, ” Klopp told the official website of Liverpool.
“He is not injured anymore, but he needs training, training, training and match time as much as possible.”
The German coach went on : “So we thought it makes absolute sense that he is now with the second team for the next few weeks, in training and in their games – because everything that we could do would be too early.”
Last season, Ojo, 19, played 11 times for Liverpool in competitive matches after he was recalled from a loan spell with Wolves.
