English-Born Nigerian Striker, Messi & Neymar Fail To Make Cut As Fifa Announce Three Contenders For Puskas Award

After being shortlisted among ten candidates, West Brom striker Hal Robson-Kanu has been omitted from the three-player shortlist for the FIFA Puskás Award.
Marlone, Daniuska Rodriguez and Mohd Faiz Subri are the contenders for the prize of the best goal of the year.
Robson-Kanu’s wonder goal while defending the colours of Wales against Belgium at the 2016 European Championship had been in the running for the award.
The former Reading star was nominated alongside Barcelona pair Lionel Messi and Neymar .
Goals scored in the period from 30 September 2015 to 30 September 2016 were taken into account. The winner will be announced on January 9 in Zurich.
