Chinese Club Ready To Make Two English-Born Nigerian Midfielders The Highest Paid Player In The World
Published: January 07, 2017
Chinese Super League clubs are prepared to pay an English-born Nigerian midfielder 41.6 million pounds per season wages to join the league.
According to the electronic edition of the Daily Mail, intermediaries handling the affairs of Tottenham Hotspur sensation Dele Alli and Everton star Ross Barkley have been contacted over a move to the CSL.
If their plan works out, Alli or Barkley will become the highest paid footballers in the world, with his £800,000 a week wages surpassing the amount paid to ex- West Ham striker Carlos Tevez at Shanghai Shenhua.
While the Spurs young star has been linked with a possible move to Real Madrid in the summer, the Everton midfielder is on the radar of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
New Tianjin TEDA recruit John Obi Mikel and Obafemi Martins will earn US$9 million each in the 2017 season.
