Nigeria Target Uche Ikpeazu Hits Eighth Goal Of The Season For Cambridge United
Published: January 10, 2017
Uche Ikpeazu netted his eighth goal of the season in all competitions but it was in vain with Cambridge United crashing out of the FA Cup following a 2-1 loss to Leeds United on Monday night.
The former Reading wonderkid broke the deadlock on 25 minutes, firing home a rebound after a free kick was blocked.
But two second half goals from Stuart Dallas and Alex Mowatt sent Cambridge United packing from the competition.
On 90 minutes, Ikpeazu was presented with a chance to make it 2-2, but he fired a shot over the Leeds United bar.
The 21-year-old has found the net in every single competition he has participated in this season, including League Two, EFL Trophy and Emirates FA Cup.
