Official : Ex-Real Madrid, PSG Trainee Abuchi Obinwa Snapped Up By Columbus Crew

Major League Soccer outfit Columbus Crew have strengthened their ranks with the signing of United States youth international of Nigerian descent Abuchi Obinwa .

The 20-year-old joins Columbus Crew from German side Hannover 96, for whom he played for in the Under-19 Bundesliga North/Northeast.

A native of Columbus , Obinwa’s resume include stints with Chicago Magic PSG, an affiliate club of Paris St. Germain, and he has trained with the French powerhouse plus Real Madrid.

He was named U.S. Soccer Development Academy’s U-15/16 Central Conference Player of the Year for 2013.

Obinwa was controversially dropped from the 2013 Golden Eaglets squad because he reportedly failed the MRI test.
