Derick Ogbu Turns Down Chance To Play With Owoeri At Baoding Yingli Yitong
Published: February 12, 2017
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Derick Chuka Ogbu has turned down an opportunity to return to the Chinese League.
League One side Baoding Yingli Yitong F.C had submitted a firm offer for his services, and the striker would have appended his signature to a two-year deal if he had accepted the proposal.
Baoding Yingli Yitong had already agreed a US$1 million transfer fee with Hungarian club Debreceni VSC, but Ogbu chose to remain in Europe for family reasons, before thinking of a return to China at the end of this season.
The 26-year-old spent one and a half seasons with Liaoning Whowin, scoring 24 goals (8 assists) from 70 games before transferring to Ventforet Kofu in 2016.
H would have joined last season’s top scorer in the Allsvenskan John Owoeri at Baoding Yingli Yitongif he had accepted the move.
