Nigerian Talent Kelechi Offered Three-Year Deal By Rio Ave

Portuguese Primeira Liga side Rio Ave have offered a three-year contract to Plateau United defender Kelechi John following a successful trial, according to his representative Paul Wahab.
The deal will become activated once the Portuguese Football Federation receive an International Transfer Certificate from the Nigerian Federation.
“Kelechi has been offered a three-year contract by Rio Ave after passing his medical. He will train with the youth team before progressing to the senior team, ” Paul Wahab told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“He is a very good player, a lot of clubs were interested in him. He is still learning. ”
Kelechi John, who has been in Portugal for the past five months, was one of the players called up to a training camp by the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) ahead of the training tour to Spain.
