Alex Iwobi Misses Arsenal Training Session On Friday Morning
Published: February 17, 2017
Nigeria international Alex Iwobi did not take part in Arsenal training on Friday morning ahead of Monday’s Emirates FA Cup fifth round tie against Sutton United.
The attacking midfielder wasn’t the only first-teamer not captured by the cameras, with Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Laurent Koscielny all missing the workout held under the supervision of manager Arsene Wenger after his press conference.
It is believed that Iwobi and the majority of the players that were not involved in this morning’s training session will work in the gym today.
The Nigerian and his teammates will start training on a plastic pitch on Saturday because the game against the National League side will be held at Borough Sports Ground, which has an artificial turf.
Iwobi started the UEFA Champions League tie at Bayern Munich and subbed out in the second half.
