Iheanacho Watches From The Bench As Man City, Liverpool Share The SpoilsLiverpool were held to a 1-1 draw by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening despite taking the lead.

James Milner scored from the penalty spot to give the Reds the lead in the 51st minute. The referee pointed to the spot after City’s Gael Clichy committed a serious foul on Roberto Firmino in the penalty area.

The hosts struck back on 69 minutes, when Sergio Aguero tapped home from close range after a brilliant delivery from
Kevin de Bruyne.

Six minutes later, Manchester City missed a decent chance to snatch all three points when Kevin de Bruyne struck the woodwork after Aguero had played a 1-2 with Leroy Sane.

With ten minutes left on the clock, Liverpool came close to regaining the lead but Lallana missed target with an open goal at his mercy.

Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho was an unused substitute, Sheyi Ojo and Ovie Ejaria were not in Liverpool’s 18-man squad.
