Echiejile Says Senegal Were A Good Test For Super Eagles
Published: March 24, 2017
Sporting Gijon defender Elderson Echiejile was pleased with the comeback draw against Senegal in an international friendly at the Hive Stadium on Thursday night.
The ex-Nigeria U20 international put in a full shift against the West African opponents and picked up a caution in the 64th minute.
In his tweet, Echiejile acknowledged that the result would have been worse if City striker Kelechi Iheanacho had not converted his spot-kick in the 83rd minute.
“Was a good game test for the team yesterday! Fair result. #EUE3 @thenff, ” said Elderson Echiejile.
Echiejile participated in only one workout with the Super Eagles before the friendly against Senegal as he arrived in London late due to a visa hitch.
