Chelsea Dazzler Moses Speaks Out On New Role : I Am An All-Round Wing Back
Published: July 26, 2017
Nigeria international Victor Moses demonstrated in Chelsea's friendly against Bayern Munich on Tuesday that he is a versatile player, switching to the left wing-back role when Fikayo Tomori came on in the 76th minute.
Moses was originally a top striker in his formative years as a footballer, before the youth team coaches at Crystal Palace moved him behind as a winger, and he has also thrived as a playmaker.
''The manager told me to go left wing-back and I can play left-wing-back if needed, especially in a pre-season game,'' Moses told chelseafc.com.
''When I was a winger in the past I played on the right and on the left so it is not a problem.''
Victor Moses has started all the matches contested by the Premier League champions in pre-season, and was one of five players that went the distance against Bayern Munich.
The Super Eagles star started and impressed in 29 matches in a right wing-back role during the 2016-17 campaign.
