Published: August 04, 2017
Kelechi Iheanacho made his debut for Leicester City in their final pre-season game on Friday night, twenty four hours after the Foxes announced his arrival from Manchester City on a five-year deal.
The Nigeria international replaced Okazaki in the 64th minute of the friendly against Borussia Mönchengladbach (2-1).
On 74 minutes, Jamie Vardy netted the winner for the former Premier League champions after he was set up by Iheanacho.
The Super Eagles star spent only 17 minutes on the King Power Stadium turf before making way for Ulloa.
Immediately after the game against the German opponents, Leicester City boss Craig Shakespeare confirmed that Iheanacho's substitution was precautionary, adding that he didn't want his brand new number eight to be kicked again.
Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi started for Leicester City and came close to scoring on two occasions.
