Real Madrid Pull Out Of Signing Manchester United And Chelsea Stars
Published: August 11, 2017
Real Madrid have abandoned their pursuit of Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea and Chelsea star Thibaut Courtois this summer.
Don Balon claims the Spain international does not want to depart the Old Trafford outfit in the near future, while Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has vetoed the club's chance to sign Courtois.
Some Real Madrid higher-ups had questioned the pedigree of goalkeeper Keylor Navas, but the Costa Rican World Cup star will continue as their first-choice goalie in the forthcoming season based on recent developments.
It would be recalled that David de Gea's transfer from Manchester United to Real Madrid fell through in 2015 because the paperwork was not submitted on time.
Manchester United were demanding a transfer fee of €75 million from Los Blancos before the European champions pulled the plug on the deal.
