Musa Yahaya Missing As Man Utd, Leicester Make Check On Porto Talents
Published: September 10, 2017
Porto midfielder Musa Yahaya was not involved for the Portuguese powerhouse in their 3-0 rout of Chaves in the Primeira Liga on Saturday, September 9.
The Nigeria youth international has yet to debut for Porto since joining the club in 2016 from Mutunchi Academy, but has been selected to train with the first team squad.
Musa Yahaya missed an opportunity to show the scouts present at the Estádio Do Dragão his wares.
According to Scouts In Attendance, representatives from Manchester United and Leicester City monitored the game between Porto and Chaves.
Other clubs that ran the rule over the players on both teams include Atalanta, Getafe, Lille, Montpellier HSC, OGC Nice, Sampdoria, Monaco, Besiktas, Wisła Kraków and Sparta Prague.
Yahaya trained with Tottenham Hotspur after putting himself in the shop window at the 2013 Fifa U17 World Cup, but the Premier League club passed up the opportunity to sign him on a permanent basis when he attained the age of majority.
This season, the 19-year-old has shown his versatility, as he has been deployed as a right back, left winger and support striker in three games he has played for Porto II in the LigaPro.
