Arsenal, Chelsea Target Thought About Moving To Manchester United
Published: September 11, 2017
Germany international Thomas Müller has admitted that he thought about leaving Bayern Munich two years ago and would have signed for a Premier League club, according to reports in his homeland.
Manchester United have been linked with a move for Muller in the last few seasons, and the German champions rejected a £91million bid from the Red Devils for the attacking midfielder last summer.
''There was a point, two years ago, when this was an issue, when I thought about it,'' Muller told Kicker, according to Metro.
''But the club immediately supported me and they told me, I belonged here.
''When Bayern told me they needed me and how I am an important player, I did not have to think that much anymore.''
Müller has participated in three games for Bayern in the Bundesliga this term and started in their 2-0 loss to TSG Hoffenheim this past weekend.
The Daily Mirror claims Chelsea and Arsenal are expected to renew their interest in the Bayern Munich star when the transfer market reopens in January.
