Viktor Gyokeres injury: 17yo Harriman-Annous trains with Arsenal first team before trip to Prague

Arsenal youngster Andre Harriman-Annous has continued his rapid rise at the club after being promoted to first-team training ahead of the Gunners' UEFA Champions League trip to Slavia Prague.

The England U18 international of Nigerian descent has been rewarded for his impressive recent performances, having made his full debut for Arsenal in the Carabao Cup fourth round last week.

The talented forward started against Brighton & Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium and featured for 77 minutes as Arsenal sealed a 2–0 victory to progress to the quarterfinals.

A product of Arsenal’s famed Hale End Academy, Harriman-Annous has long been regarded as one of the brightest prospects in the youth setup.

Known for his pace, intelligence, and technical ability, the 17-year-old’s seamless adaptation to senior football has impressed both fans and coaching staff.

Manager Mikel Arteta invited Harriman-Annous to train with the senior squad came after an injury to striker Viktor Gyokeres, who was forced to sit out Monday’s session with a muscular issue.

Arteta’s decision to include the teenager highlights the manager’s growing trust in the club’s academy players amid a demanding schedule and an increasing injury list in the forward positions.

Harriman-Annous will hope to build on his momentum and possibly earn a place in the matchday squad when Arsenal face Slavia Prague in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
