Victor Moses Returns To Chelsea Starting Line-Up Against Former Club
Published: September 23, 2017
Chelsea's Victor Moses has been named in the starting XI for Saturday afternoon's Premier League clash against Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium.
The Blues manager Antonio Conte has chosen Moses to operate as a right wing-back, meaning Italy national-teamer Davide Zappacosta drops to the bench again.
The Super Eagles star spent the whole of the 2014-15 season on loan at the Potters, scoring 4 goals (6 assists) from 23 appearances in all competitions.
In total, Antonio Conte made eight changes from the side that thrashed Nottingham Forest 5-1 in the third round of the League Cup, with Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Tiemoue Bakayoko the only players retained.
Moses is set to make his fifth straight start in the English top-flight, having been ruled out of the opening round against Burnley due to the red card he received in the Emirates FA Cup final against Arsenal.
Chelsea Starting XI : Courtois; Christensen, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Alonso, Moses; Kante, Bakayoko; Willian, Pedro, Morata
Subs: Caballero, Cahill, Zappacosta, Hazard, Batshuayi, Fabregas, Musonda
Stoke City Starting XI : Butland; Johnson, Martins Indi, Pieters; Diouf, Fletcher, Allen, Ramadan; Shaqiri, Choupo-Moting; Jese.
Subs : Grant; Berahino, Tymon, Afellay, Adam, Crouch, Souttar.
