Published: October 14, 2017
Chelsea recorded their seventh consecutive win in the U18 Premier League following their hard-fought 3-2 victory over Leicester City at Leicester City Training Ground on Saturday, with four players of Nigerian descent making the match day squad.
England U19 star Tariq Uwakwe, dubbed the new Obi Mikel due to his versatility, and Faustino Anjorin started for Chelsea, and Ade Akinjogbin was a non-playing substitute for this one.
The highly-rated left back Calvin Ughelumba was on the pitch for the Foxes for the entire duration of the game.
George Heaven opened the scoring for the home team but the champions restored parity through Charlie Brown and were 2-1 ahead two minutes into the second half thanks to Taylor-Crossdale's effort.
On 83 minutes, Husek made it 2-2, but Walters had the final say with a fine solo goal.
Elsewhere in the U18 Premier League, Arsenal thrashed Southampton 5-1, with Bukayo Saka scoring and notching an assist, Folarin Balogun was credited with an assist for the Gunners second goal.
Michael Obafemi netted Southampton's solitary goal from the spot just before the midway point of the second half.
