Nigeria Target Jordan Torunarigha Misses A Chance To Show Off In Front Of Barcelona

Germany U20 World Cup star Jordan Torunarigha is finding game time hard to come by in the German Bundesliga this season, with the defender watching proceedings from the bench as Hertha Berlin lost 2-0 to Schalke 04 on Saturday.

Although Torunarigha has played mainly as a left-sided central defender in the current campaign, the 20-year-old is thought to be the mysterious left back national team Gernot Rohr has beamed his searchlight on as cover for the much-maligned Elderson Echiejile ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

According to the reliable Scouts In Attendance ,  a representative from Barcelona was spotted in the stands during the meeting between Hertha Berlin and Schalke 04, which finished 2-0 in favour of the visitors.

Jordan Torunarigha has yet to be promoted by the German Federation to their U21 squad, but he is one of the most important members of the U20 team, captaining the side against the Netherlands during the last international break.

Born in Chemnitz, Torunarigha has caps for Germany at U16, U18, U19 and U20 level.

The 20-year-old operated as a left back in Hertha Berlin's controversial 1-0 loss to östersund in the Europa League on September 28.
