Brewster Fails To Break Osimhen's Record As England U17 Are Crowned World Champions

England trounced Spain 5-2 in the final game of the U17 World Cup tournament 2017 to cart home the ultimate prize and just for the first time in their illustrious history.

The game could have easily gone the young La Roja's way after Sergio Gomez had struck twice in the first thirty minutes to hand Spain a comfortable lead.

But highly-rated Liverpool youngster, Rhian Brewster had other plans and pulled one back a minute to the break before Gibbs-White tied up things thirteen minutes later and kick-start a scintillating comeback for England.

Manchester City's midfielder, Phil Foden struck on the 69th minute mark to complete the comeback and Marc Guehi joined in on the goals with another deft finish on the 84th minute.

Foden added a late fifth to add more gloss to the scoreline and equally bag a double for himself.

Tottenham Hotspur defender of Nigerian descent Timothy Eyoma watched from the bench for the entire duration of the game as his England side totally outclassed their Spanish opponents.

Victor Osimhen's single tournament scoring record of ten goals is still intact as Rhian Brewster finished with eight goals to his name to win the Golden Shoe award.
