A round-up of Nigerian players that were in action for their respective
clubs in the English Premier League on Saturday, December 9.
Nigerian players with dual nationalities that have played competitively for the senior national teams of other countries have been omitted.
In the early kickoff, Victor Moses came off the bench in Chelsea's 1-0 loss to West Ham at the London Stadium.
Still in the English capital, former Nigeria U20 invitee Freddie Ladapo was not in Crystal Palace 18 against Bournemouth, for whom Jordon Ibe was introduced in the 65th minute.
The Cherries England star Jermain Defoe opened and closed the scoring, Luka Milivojevic equalized for the Eagles before Scott Dann put them in front a minute before half-time.
Over to the Liberty Stadium, it finished 1-0 in favour of Swansea City against West Brom. England international Tammy Abraham played the last fourteen minutes for the Welsh outfit.
Wilfried Bony blasted the ball into the net to give Swansea City the lead in the 81st minute.
Having returned to full training at the start of the week, Super Eagles striker Isaac Success was named in Watford's match day squad for the first time in ten matches, but remained an unused substitute as the Hornets lost 1-0 to Burnley at Turf Moor.
Teammate Stefano Okaka did not feature in the match due to a calf injury. A calm finish from Scott Arfield just before half-time secured the three points for Sean Dyche's side.
In the evening kickoff at St. James' Park, Wilfred Ndidi starts for Leicester City against Newcastle United. Kelechi Iheanacho is on the bench, Ahmed Musa is not in the 18 for the visitors.
