(Photo Confirmation) Nigeria International Striker Returns To Everton
Published: January 07, 2018
Nigeria international Henry Onyekuru has returned to Everton from his loan spell at R.S.C. Anderlecht for treatment after suffering an injury to the medial ligament of his knee.
There was talk of the winger being recalled from his loan spell at the Belgian champions in the January transfer window, but certainly this will not happen as he is expected to spend several months on the sidelines.
Anderlecht have insisted that a surgical operation is inevitable but this has been disputed by Onyekuru and his minders.
''Back at @Everton a little earlier than expected, I am so grateful for the facilities and the medical team working hard to get me back playing ASAP! The Lord is my strength đđž,'' tweeted Onyekuru.
The 20-year-old had found the net ten times from 28 appearances in all competitions prior to his spell on the sidelines.
Onyekuru has two international caps for Nigeria and was in contention to make their roster for the 2018 World Cup before the injury setback.
