Versatile Nigeria Star Moses Named In EPL Team Of The Week As A Central Defender
Published: January 23, 2018
Versatile Nigeria national-teamer Victor Moses has been named in the English Premier League Team of the Week for the latest round of matches by BBC pundit Garth Crooks.
In a 3-4-3 formation, the former Manchester United striker selected the Chelsea dazzler as one of the three central defenders.
Moses occupied the right side of central defense, Harry Maguire was named in the center while Nacho Monreal played from the left.
While Moses's versatility can't be doubted, he has never been deployed as a central defender by club and country in competitive matches.
The 27-year-old netted his first Premier League goal of this season as defending champions Chelsea thrashed Brighton & Hove 4-0 on Saturday, wrapping up the scoring with a fine finish in the 89th minute.
Garth Crooks's Team of the Week was dominated by Chelsea players, with Willy Caballero, Willian and Eden Hazard also listed.
