Official: American-Born Nigerian Striker Completes Move To Landskrona BoIS
Published: March 28, 2018
Swedish Superettan club Landskrona BoIS have completed the signing of American-born Nigerian striker Sean Okoli and immediately loaned him out to FC Cincinnati in the United Soccer League.
The 25-year-old joins Landskrona BoIS as a free agent following his release by Major League Soccer outfit New York City at the end of the 2017 season.
''Okoli is a physically strong forward player, has good ball reception and good in the box,'' sports director Peter Swärdh told Landskrona BoIS's official webpage.
''We have carefully watched him but have chosen to sign a loan contract until the last spring match on July 2nd. Then we'll see if there can be a continuation.''
Okoli is represented by Stellar Group, the English-based agency that brokered the deal that took Kelechi Nwakali to Arsenal in 2016.
Previously, he represented Wake Forest Demon Deacons, Seattle Sounders FC, New England Revolution and Orange County Blues.
