Nigeria International Striker Named Player Of The Week In Russia

Nigeria international striker Aaron Samuel has been named the Player of the Week in the Russian Premier League for the latest round of matches decided in the division.
The CSKA Moscow loanee impressed in Amkar Perm's 2-1 win over Lokomotiv Moscow after netting his first pair of goals for the club.
According to the results of the voting published by championat.com, Samuel scored 16 points in total.
He received 12 points from the jury of experts and journalists and received an additional four points from the portal readers in polls in the social network VKontakte and the MVP project page.
Aaron Samuel was nominated for the award along with Pontus Vernbloom (CSKA), Fernando (Spartak), Vladimir Rykov (Dynamo), Pavel Pogrebnyak (Tosno), Branislav Ivanović (Zenit), Georgi Schennikov (CSKA), Quincy Promes (Spartak) and Artur Nigmatullin (Amkar).
The Super Eagles star finished second in the voting for the Player of the Month in the Russian Premier League with 16 points, behind Fernando who scored 23 points.
