Physical Nigerian-Brazilian Striker Dominic Sends Message To Rohr After Scoring Brace
Published: April 05, 2018
Nigerian-Brazilian striker Dominic Uzoukwu is among the leading scorers in the Chinese League One after netting a brace for Beijing BG in their 2-1 win at Shenzhen in the fourth round of matches on Wednesday, April 4.
The 23-year-old São Paulo native had already opened his account for the season in his team's 3-0 rout of ZJ Yiteng on his competitive debut for the club he joined from Vejle Boldklub in the January transfer window.
Dominic opened the scoring from close range on 22 minutes after goalkeeper Guan Zhen had spilled the ball into his path.
Ohandza was on hand to equalize for the home team in the 64th minute before the Nigerian striker netted the winner with two minutes left on the clock.
The number 31 was played in by a teammate and fired home with his left foot to take his tally for the season to three goals in four appearances.
Despite Uzoukwu's close ties to Brazil, the physical striker has stated that he will not turn down the chance to represent the Super Eagles if he is approached by the Nigeria Football Federation.
