(Photo) 'Childish' Musa Refuses To Shake Hands With CSKA Coach After Substitution
Published: April 10, 2018
Nigeria international Ahmed Musa showed his childish behavior after he was substituted in the 58th minute as CSKA Moscow lost 2-1 to Dinamo in a Moscow derby on Monday evening.
The Leicester City loanee was apparently angry to be substituted and refused to shake hands with the young CSKA coach Viktor Goncharenko.
But the 40-year-old manager's decision to remove Musa was vindicated as Fedor Chalov who replaced the Nigerian halved the deficit just two minutes after he was introduced.
The former Super Eagles captain was a shadow of himself before leaving the VEB Arena (Moscow) turf and had a poor report card, statistically, after the game.
According to OPTA, he had no shots, no key pass made, no aerial duels won, did not win any foul, no dribbles, no tackles, interceptions and clearances and a very poor passing accuracy of 66.7 percent.
This is not the first time Musa will be involved in a handshake controversy, as a video surfaced in the days leading up to Nigeria's 2018 World Cup qualifier vs Cameroon in Yaounde in which he appeared to have avoided shaking hands with Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick.
Since re-joining CSKA Moscow in the January transfer window, Musa has scored one goal in nine starts.
