Iwobi Shines But Arsenal Fall To Disappointing Defeat To Newcastle

Arsenal crumbled to a shocking 2-1 loss to Newcastle at St James Park in their Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon, with goals from Ayoze Perez and Matt Richie orchestrating a comeback for Rafa Benitez's side.
Super Eagles winger Alex Iwobi earned his 21st league appearance for the Gunners in the game, starring from the off.
Arsenal earlier went ahead from an Alexandre Lacazette's goal, the Frenchman profiting from a chipped first time cross from strike partner, Pierre- Emerick Aubameyang to fire into the top right corner after 14 minutes.
But the Magpies came back to claim victory with two well taken goal, first Ayoze Perez connecting with a DeAndre Yedlin's cross to fire in the equalizer a minute shy of the half hour mark.
And Algerian striker, Islam Slimani came off the bench in the second half to cap off a resilient showing by the underdogs, teeing up Perez who flicked on for Matt Richie to hit the winner 22 minutes from time as the visitors fell to their first defeat in eight games.
Alex Iwobi was replaced by Edward Nketiah with four minutes left on the clock.
