Nigerian winger cum striker Shola Shoretire was on target for Manchester United U16s as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Liverpool at the ongoing 2018 JSSL Singapore Professional Academies 7s.
Wearing the number ten jersey, Shoretire scored with a brilliant shot from outside the area after receiving a pass from The Red Devils number two.
United played out a 0-0 stalemate with Fulham in their opening game of the JSSL Singapore Professional Academies 7s, lost 2-0 to Valencia in their second fixture, drew goalless with Urawa Reds in the third prior to their last match of the day vs Liverpool.
Tomorrow, Sunday, they face Bangkok United in their first game before tackling JSSL FC and Perth Glory.
Shola Shoretire is still classed as an U14 player by Manchester United but has impressed when called upon to join the U16 team despite his age and small stature.
He was one of the stars for Manchester United at the prestigious SuperCupNI in Northern Ireland last July.
Another Nigerian winger Deji Sotona was part of United's 12-player traveling party for the 2018 JSSL Singapore Professional Academies 7s.
