Highly Talented Nigerian Striker Dillion Hoogewerf Making Inroads At Ajax Amsterdam
Published: July 11, 2018Highly talented Nigerian striker Dillon Hoogewerf is making inroads at famous Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam and is set to be promoted to their U17 team in the upcoming season after showing his class for the U16s during the 2017-18 campaign.
Last season, he was named best player of the Marveld Tournament 2018 and netted 12 goals in 28 official matches (five for the U17s), while providing eleven assists.
Born in Almere, Hoogewerf is a Dutch U15 international and is also
prolific for his country of birth, with 6 goals in 8 matches for that
age group.
An Ajax Youth Academy expert told allnigeriasoccer.com : ''Dillion is a great player! Very talented. He's from the same age group as Naci ünüvar (2003) and both will play for Ajax U17's next season.
''He's sometimes a little bit too selfish, but overall a player with great skills, shots and dribbles.''

Former Nigeria internationals Finidi George, Nwankwo Kanu, Tijani Babangida and Pius Ikedia previously represented the first team of Ajax Amsterdam.
