Official: Ex-Chelsea Fullback Debayo Completes Move To Cheltenham Town
Published: July 11, 2018
EFL League Two club Cheltenham Town have signed Nigerian defender Josh Debayo, informs the official website of The Robins.
Debayo joins Cheltenham Town as a free agent after his release by Leicester City at the end of the 2017-2018 campaign.
The left-back has appended his signature to a two-year deal with The Robins and becomes the ninth player to join the club in the ongoing transfer window.
''We’re delighted to sign Josh, he gives us that athleticism in the left back position and gives us competition too. We needed another left footer,'' manager Gary Johnson said to the club's official website.
''He has power and pace, as anyone would have seen in our pre-season game with Bristol City, and is still young enough to learn more.
''He started at Fulham, went to Chelsea and Southampton too. Joshua was a rated a very good prospect at those clubs and has the ability.''
