Amuneke Backing France To Win 2018 World Cup Final Because Of Their Midfield General Kante
Published: July 13, 2018The 21st World Cup final will be staged at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium in the ninth all European affair between European teams France and Croatia.
''Each team has a very strong midfield, there are also individually strong players in the attack," Amuneke was quoted as saying by Izvestia.
''But Croatia does not have such a supporting midfielder as N'Golo
Kante, able to close the center of the field and prevent the opponent
from turning around. Due to him, the French are good defensively.''
Kante has lasted ninety minutes in each of the six games contested by France in the 2018 World Cup.
France have not won the World Cup since 1998 but reached the final in 2006, losing to Italy on penalties, while the relatively young football nation, Croatia, are playing in their first final on Sunday, July 15.
