Victor Osimhen Training With Belgian Club Zulte Waregem Ahead Of Potential Transfer
Published: July 21, 2018
Former Golden Eaglets sensation Victor Osimhen may depart Bundesliga club Wolfsburg before the close of the summer transfer window, according to reports in the Belgian media.
HLN reported on Saturday morning that Osimhen is undergoing tests with Zulte Waregem ahead of a potential switch.
The striker will train for a few days before taking physical and medical tests and if all goes well he would be signed on loan with a purchase option inserted into the deal.
Since moving to Germany in January 2016, he has played 16 first-team games for Wolfsburg, logging 333 minutes in total.
Osimhen was linked with a transfer to Anderlecht shortly after winning the Golden Boot at the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup but they were priced out of a deal for the youngster.
In June 2017, he became the first Nigerian player born in 1998 to represent the Super Eagles in a match sanctioned by Fifa when he came off the bench after 45 minutes in their 3-0 rout of Togo in an international friendly.
Super Eagles left back Kingsley Madu is currently on the books of Zulte Waregem.
