Chelsea's Moses Training At Cobham, New Role For Super Eagles Star In New Season
Published: July 22, 2018
Victor Moses resumed training with Chelsea this past week but was omitted from the the traveling party to Australia, where the Premier League side will face Perth Glory at Optus Stadium in Perth on Monday, July 23.
The right wing-back was not in The Blues squad, along with Kenneth Omeruo, Caballero, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Willian, Cahill, Loftus-Cheek, Batshuayi, Courtois, Hazard, Giroud and Kante, due to his participation in the 2018 World Cup.
The Argentina goalkeeper, who was a non-playing substitute against Nigeria, is back at Cobham, Chelsea's training ground, and has uploaded via Instagram a picture of himself, Victor Moses and Germany's Antonio RĂ¼diger after a recent workout.
Willy Caballero stated with an accompanying photo : ''Back at training with my mates and ready for a new season. Empezando de nuevo y preparado para lo que viene. #chelseafc en Cobham Training Centre ''.
Moses is expected to play in his natural position as a right winger in the upcoming season , as new manager Maurizio Sarri prefers to lineup his teams in a 4-3-3 formation.
Nigerian trio Ola Aina, Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham are in line to figure against Perth Glory, having traveled with the Chelsea squad to Australia.
Ike Ugbo remained in the United Kingdom and played for the U23s in their 2-0 win over Sutton in a friendly on Saturday.
