Manchester United Right-Back Crisis : Nigerian Defender Injured
American-born Nigerian defender Matthew Olosunde cannot solve Manchester United's right-back crisis because he is injured.

Speaking to the official website, Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho has admitted that he has a selection issue at the right-back position ahead of pre-season friendlies against Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Antonio Valencia is out with a calf injury, Ashley Young and Victor Lindelof represented their nations at the World Cup and have not reported for pre-season, while new signing Diogo Dalot is out until September.

According to our colleagues at Olosunde is not an option as he has been sidelined with an undisclosed ailment.

The 20-year-old, who is predominantly a right-back, didn't travel with United U23s to Austria where they held a training camp and did not figure for that age group in friendly matches against SV Ried, Rochdale and Stoke City.

Olosunde has trained with Manchester United first-teamers in the past and was named on the provisional rosters for Premier League matches against Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in 2017.
