Southampton, West Ham, Cardiff Ponder Deadline Day Move For Chelsea Striker
The transfer window closes today in England and several clubs are mulling over a move for Chelsea's Nigerian striker Tammy Abraham.

The latest news on Abraham from the Mirror UK is that Southampton, West Ham and Cardiff were among the teams pondering a move for the young striker, but they have suggested that he will be staying put at Chelsea.

As things stand, Abraham is behind Michy Batshuayi, Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud in the pecking order of strikers at Stamford Bridge and is unlikely to cement a place in the starting lineup

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri gave a hint of that in pre-season as the Italian introduced him off the bench in four matches against Perth Glory, Inter Milan, Arsenal and Man City, and only named him in the starting eleven for the recent friendly against Lyon.

The 20-year-old Abraham has made three first-team appearances for Chelsea since he made his debut two years ago, and previously spent time on loan at Bristol City and Swansea City.

He is under contract with Chelsea until the end of the 2021-2022 season.
