Published: August 09, 2018
Manchester City have confirmed the outgoing transfer of Nigerian wonderkid Lukas Nmecha.
The Premier League champions have just reported on their official website that Nmecha has joined Preston North End on a season-long loan deal.
The 19-year-old Hamburg-born striker was promoted to City's first team in January 2018 and has made three appearances for the first team since he made his debut against Leicester City.
Nmecha was part of Manchester City's tour squad to the United States, where he started games against Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool and Bayern Munich mainly because several internationals did not report for pre-season training early due to their involvement in the 2018 World Cup.
Preston North End have pulled off a transfer coup after signing Nmecha as he was linked with possible loan moves to Swansea City, West Brom and Blackburn Rovers, as well as Aston Villa.
An England U21 international, the Manchester City Academy product will wear the number 45 jersey at Preston North End and is available to make his debut at Swansea City on Saturday.
