Official: Third Nigerian Player Signs New Deal With Liverpool Before Heading Out On Loan
Through a statement on their official website, Premier League giants Liverpool have confirmed that Nigerian winger Sheyi Ojo has penned a contract extension with the club.

Ojo penned the new deal before jetting out to France to link up with Ligue 1 club Stade Reims, where he will spend the remainder of the 2018-2019 season on loan.

The 21-year-old is the third Nigerian youngster to ink a new contract with The Reds before heading out on loan, following in the footsteps of Ovie Ejaria and Taiwo Awonyi, who have been loaned out to Rangers and Gent respectively.

An England U21 international, Ojo previously enjoyed loan spells at Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham.

He has racked up 13 appearances for Liverpool's first team in all competitions since making his debut, scoring one goal and notching four assists.

Hemel Hempstead-born Ojo is a product of Milton Keynes Dons Academy.
