Official: Exciting Nigerian Youngster Inks New Deal With Queens Park Rangers
Published: September 04, 2018
English Championship club, Queen Park Rangers have announced that they have tied talented teenage Nigerian striker, Aramide Oteh to a three-year deal that will keep him at Loftus Road until the summer of 2021.
Oteh who started out with the Tottenham Hotspur Academy has been afforded six league appearances for the senior side since his promotion from the club's development team.
The 19-year-old made his professional debut for Rangers as a 69th-minute substitute for compatriot, Bright Osayi-Samuel in a 1–0 defeat to Millwall in the Championship back in 2017.
"I've found it a great place to be, a great place to learn. I feel like I have progressed a lot thanks to the help of people like Chris [Ramsey, technical director] and Les [Ferdinand, director of football]. They have helped me to develop as a player", he told the club's website.
"Now it's all about pushing on to be even better.
"I've had a taste of first-team football and I want to get back there. I know that I've just got to keep doing what I'm doing with the Under-23s to hopefully get there again and stay there.
"I want to keep on improving and keep on showing desire and hungriness – I want to show that the manager (Steve McClaren) can trust me."
