Published: September 06, 2018
Arsenal have submitted their 45-man Europa League roster to European Football governing body, UEFA, and as many as four Nigerian teenagers made the cut and of course Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi.
Iwobi has been included on the Gunners List A as a locally trained player or in other words, he was on the books of the London club for three years between the ages of 15 and 21.
The four Nigerian teenagers in line to make their debut in the Europa League are : Tolaji Bola, Joseph Olowu, Tobi Omole and Xavier Amaechi.
Bola is a left back who recently trained with Arsenal's first team, both Olowu and Omole are versatile central defenders and Amaechi is a winger.
Former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles skipper Kelechi Nwakali is spending the entirety of this season on loan at Porto and has been omitted as you would expect.
Bola has been handed the number 38 jersey for the Europa League, Olowu 50, Omole 51, while Amaechi will play with the number 65.
The Gunners, who reached last season's semifinal before they were knocked out by eventual winners Atlético de Madrid, do battle with Vorskla Poltava, Sporting CP and Qarabag in Group E.
