Two players of Nigerian descent in the shape of Nonso Madueke and Armstrong Okoflex debuted for world champions at U17 level, England, in their 6-0 rout of Norway in the The Syrenka Cup on Friday, September 7.

This summer, Madueke ended his association with Tottenham Hotspur after penning a three-year contract with PSV Eindhoven, while Okoflex departed Arsenal to join Scottish champions Celtic.

Okoflex replaced Morgan Rogers in the 72nd minute for his debut for the England U17s and he was joined on the pitch three minutes later by Morgan Rogers.

A brace each from Jeremy Sarmiento and Joseph Gelhardt, and additional tallies from Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Sam Greenwood secured a comfortable win for England U17.
