Eagles Star Oboabona Speaks After Full Debut For Gorica, Why He's Thanking Nigerians

                    Super Eagles defender, Godfrey Oboabona has appreciated soccer loving Nigerians for standing by him especially as he strives to put his career back on track.
The former Rizespor of Turkey player who spoke from his new base in Croatia after helping HNK Gorica to a 1-0 away win over NK Osijek, appreciated the support and concerns of all soccer loving Nigerians especially during his trying periods.
"I really want to express deep appreciation to Nigerians and my fans all over the world for their prayers, support and words of encouragements. Many of them do get in touch through the social media and offer useful suggestions, prayers and advice".
"To all of them, I say thank you and promise not to let them down as I open a new chapter in my career. I hope to do my best at my new club and help achieve desired objectives".
Godfrey Oboabona played the entire 90 minutes and got a yellow card in the 59th minute as HNK Gorica secured a vital away victory to move to 5th position on the table.
Oboabona who was part of the Super Eagles squad that won the AFCON title in South Africa in 2013 joined Croatia top side, HNK Gorica FC this summer after leaving Saudi Arabia's Al Ahli as a free agent.
