Super Eagles Star Odion Ighalo Aiming To Break His Record After Scoring Again
Odion Ighalo is still firing on all cylinders ahead of the upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Nigeria and Libya in Uyo, after netting his 18th league goal of the season on Saturday morning.

Changchun Yatai lost 5-2 to Jiangsu Suning at the Changchun's People Stadium, with Ighalo converting a spot kick in the 68th minute to make the scoreline 3-1.

With six games remaining before the end of the 2018 season, Ighalo is aware that the league title is out of reach as they trail Shanghai SIPG FC by 23 points and has to aim to break his personal goal record in a single season.

The Super Eagle is two goals shy from matching the 20 goals he netted for Watford during the 2014-15 season and would set a new personal record if he scores three more before the end of the season.

Of his 33 goals in the Chinese Super League since transferring from the Hornets in January 2017, Guizhou Zhicheng are his favorite victim, having scored seven times against them.

Ighalo and his Changchun Yatai teammates travel to Obi Mikel's Tianjin Teda in the last game before the international break.
