UYL Molde 0 Chelsea 4 : Anjorin On Target; Uwakwe Handed Corner-Taking Duties
Published: October 24, 2018
Faustino Anjorin continued his brilliant form after scoring for Chelsea as they claimed a 4-0 win over Molde in the first round of the UEFA Youth League, domestic champions path.
Wednesday evening's game was a dead rubber as Chelsea thrashed their Scandinavian opponents 10-1 in the first leg played at Cobham Training Centre three weeks ago.
Anjorin had an attempt on goal in the 14th minute before breaking the deadlock in the 32nd minute, assisted by Livramento and missed a chance to increase the lead after missing the target following a corner delivered by Tariq Uwakwe.
The two Nigerian midfielders were substituted in the 72nd minute, Uwakwe was replaced by Russell and Lewis took the place of Anjorin.
Prior to his substitution, Uwakwe looked lively and took all the four corner kicks awarded to Chelsea.
The Blues refused to settle for only one goal. Charlie Brown grabbed an eleven-minute hat-trick (81, 83, 90+2) to give the Londoners a comprehensive 4-0 win at the end of the contest.
Anjorin, 16, opened his goalscoring account in the UEFA Youth League in his second appearance for Chelsea. He debuted against Atlético Madrid last December.
