Newcastle United Plotting January Move For Liverpool's Nigerian Striker
Newcastle United are plotting a move for Nigerian striker Dominic Solanke in the January transfer window.

According to The Chronicle, via NUFC Blog, Rafa Benitez is considering a move to sign Divock Origi, Liverpool teammate Dominic Solanke or Watford’s Troy Deeney ahead of the January transfer window.

After eleven rounds in the Premier League, the Magpies are the second-worst scoring team in the division with only 7 goals scored, two more than Huddersfield Town.

With a lack of threat upfront, Newcastle United boss Benitez is planning to make an approach for Solanke whose future at Liverpool is up in the air after failing to play a single game for the first team this season.

The Fifa U20 World Cup Golden Ball winner is behind Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mané, Mohamed Salah, Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi in Jürgen Klopp's pecking order of offensive players.

The former Chelsea starlet spent the 2015-16 season on loan at Vitesse Arnhem, scoring seven goals in 25 games.
